Tonight is the next board meeting for the North Idaho College Board.
The meeting is a one-pager tonight meaning we may get out of there before 9pm. Let’s pray for no disruptions like the last few meetings.
Tonight is the first meeting where the public will meet new Interim President Greg South, an interim president that came into office after President Swayne was put on administrative leave. Reminder, Swayne being placed on administrative leave was because former attorney Marc Lyons couldn’t give any information and documents over to the board and new attorney Art Macomber regarding Swayne’s contract, historical data, or anything regarding the legal status of accreditation-sensitive topics.
President Swayne is now suing the college stating that being placed on administrative leave is the same thing as terminating his contract and wants the courts to rule in his favor.
Swayne is being represented by Tara Malek, failed District 4 State Senate candidate who lost to superstar new Senator Ben Toews. (Remember she’s the one whose husband is registered to vote in Boise and fundraises in Boise for a Coeur d’Alene race where she supposedly lives? Paul Amador’s friend? The one that the Democrats, Christa Hazel, and the liberal extreme Idaho 97 supports? That one.)
Read the lawsuit for yourself to see the fun details.
Also, feel free to compare Swayne’s contract to his lawsuit as well as the last 3 president’s contract, linked here.
I hope you can come out to the meeting tonight, starts at 6pm, and interact with us on Telegram while I live-Telegram the meeting. Otherwise you can watch along online at the Zoom link: https://nic.zoom.us/j/85759887396
