Election Day

This election cycle has been different. It has been vicious, divisive, and an obvious spiritual battle between good and evil. No matter the outcome, we still have to live together in this small town, and everyone should take a step back and reflect on their attitudes during this election cycle.

In the meantime, below is a video of Pastor Jack Hibbs praying over our country. As we head into what will probably be the most volatile time in our country's modern history, we are to be reminded that we should be looking up for our guidance rather than towards earthly men. Whatever happens in our country, in our state, in our country, it is God's will.

It was noticed that there were some items that were not on the Kootenai County Republican Central Committee recommended ballot and I thought they were important enough to create my own recommended ballot. This is not a directive for you, this is how I am voting, but please do your research before you make your decisions.

Find Your Polling Location

Polling locations

Do you need help finding where you are to vote? The Kootenai County Elections Office has a handy tool to look up your polling location. Every precinct has a polling location; the Elections Office is NOT a place to cast your vote on Election Day. (Although if you have an absentee ballot that needs to be turned in I recommend going straight to the Elections Office and hand it off to the team so you KNOW they received it.) Click the image or the button below to find your polling location.

Kootenai County Livestream

I hope Election Day is a celebration of your civic duty like it is for us. Normally I am at the Elections Office overnight watching them count ballots but our son has a hockey game that starts at 8:20pm so Mom Duty takes over this time. If you would like to watch the local ballots be counted, the Elections Office has a livestream set up all night for weeks to watch the ballots here.

Play Along With Predictions and Post-Poll Closing Discussions

If you don't know what you're doing after the polls close, join us on Telegram as we discuss the national races, dissect the state and local races, and have fun with election predictions. We will probably be online until the bitter end.
