The Coeur d’Alene City Council is having a public hearing on the Coeur Terre annexation today, Tuesday, Feb. 7 at 4pm at the CDA Library. Coeur Terre is the 440-acre site on the east side of Huetter which the land developers want to annex and change zones from Agricultural-Suburban to a slew of mixed used commercial/residential lots.
This new annexation and zone change will bring in thousands of more residents and traffic onto the residential side streets. The developer has also pledged to set aside 5% of the development for low income/worker housing.
Please come down to the public hearing that starts at 4pm. There has been suggestions that people arrive early and bring water/snacks because it’s going to be a LONG meeting.
